Arts Camp for Kids - Heritage Hall Museum

What is Arts Camp?

19 years ago, Heritage Hall Museum in Talladega, Alabama started what it calls "Arts Camp for Kids." This arts enrichment program has gone on to become one of the most successful arts education programs for elementary children in the State. The faculty is made up of certified art teachers or professional artists. The main emphasis has been on the visual arts - drawing, painting and sculpture, but we have traditionally offered music, dance, and drama classes.

The total enrollment is divided into four classes with each class rotating through four disciplines during the course of the day. There is also a series of special events over and above the regular classes. I promise you your child will love the experience. Come draw with us!

June 8-12 and July 6-10, 8 a.m. til noon.
(Ages for Camp is 7 Years Old through 13 Years Old)

May - June 2009
The Fay Perry Art Exhibit
Talladega County Schools
The Fay Perry Art Exhibit was established by Mrs. Fay Perry who served Talladega County Schools as a teacher, principal, and elementary supervisor of instruction from 1972 - 1986. It was Mrs. Perry’s belief that having art and music in the elementary grades was an important part of the overall instructional program. She started art and music from a one cent sales tax that was divided between the 3 school systems within Talladega County. Her vision of art and music instruction in the elementary grades has continued through the teacher foundation program. The Fay Perry Art Exhibit is an important part of the elementary curriculum and is an excellent opportunity to showcase the artistic talents of our students for the entire community.
