City of Talladega lifts Mandatory Water Restrictions
PLEASE CONSERVE WATER!!

The following restrictions are still in place:

  • Irrigation of established lawns and landscaping between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. (evening, early morning hours) for addresses ending in even numbers on Mondays and odd numbers on Thursdays ONLY.
     
  • New lawns and landscaping may be watered any day but only during the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. (evening, early morning hours) and only during the first 30 days of installation.
     
  • Washing of automobiles, trucks, trailers, mobile homes, campers, etc. should only be done with bucket and sponge method using a hose with shut-off valve or nozzle.
     
  • Hosing down of porches, sidewalks and driveways and other hard surfaces, except for health or safety reasons should be suspended unless performed by a commercial pressure washing business.
     
  • Existing swimming pools, hot tubs, spas, etc. may be filled once during the year. A one time draining and refilling is allowed for repairs only if conditions threaten the integrity of the pool and/or its supporting infrastructure.
     
  • Golf courses should water the first 9 holes on Mondays and the bottom 9 holes should be watered on Thursdays. All holes may be watered between 10 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday.
     
  • Commercial nurseries are requested to limit use and only water as needed.
