Businesses support Christmas on the Square 2025

(Talladega, AL) The City of Talladega Christmas on the Square 2025 campaign has received contributions of over $60,000 thus far from local businesses and organizations, including a $10,000 donation from First Bank of Alabama and a $15,000 in-kind contribution from the Daily Home.
“Supporting Christmas on the Square for us is a strategic stewardship. Businesses gain loyal customers and branding, and we have cultivated trust and resilience through our community bank that was founded in Talladega over 177 years ago, around the square,” said First Bank of Alabama CEO and President Chad Jones. “Leaders within the City have given us the opportunity to ensure this event remains a beacon of hope, reminding us of the Christmas spirit and the reason for the season.”
In addition to contributions from the Title Sponsors, First Bank of Alabama and the Daily Home, the city has received financial contributions from Presenting Sponsors Georgia Pacific, Talladega Superspeedway, and InSite Engineering; Local Sponsors Talladega Insurance and Evelyn McGhee, Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, Alabama Power, Baptist Health/Orlando, Davis Builders, RK Allen, and Talladega College; and Community Sponsors TOP Trails OHV Park, Presbyterian Home for Children, Coosa Valley Electric, Dynasafe, Special Strong and Talladega Main Street.
Businesses, organizations and individuals interested in serving as sponsors may submit a sponsorship form online or email Mary Sood at msood@talladega.com. Sponsors will be highlighted in advertisements and news releases, on signage and social media, and on the city’s website.
A Nutcracker Christmas in Talladega is the theme of the City of Talladega's annual Christmas on the Square (COTS), which will be held December 12-14, 2025. Vendors interested in securing a table may fill out a vendor application on the City of Talladega's COTS site at www.talladega.com/christmas-on-the-square.
Christmas on the Square activities begin Friday, December 12, at 6 p.m., with free outdoor ice skating on the square and a free holiday pajama party and viewing of the movie Elf at the Ritz Theatre.
On Saturday, December 13, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., there will be a wide array of free activities, including outdoor iceskating, photos with Santa, Santa’s workshop with crafts for kids, holiday train rides, bungy jumping, a bounce house, live music from A Group of Community Members and movies at the Ritz Theatre. There will be vendors selling gifts and goodies, and food trucks.

The free activities and eventsare made possible thanks to COTS sponsors, while all outdoor decor is provided by the City of Talladega.
Volunteers from the following organizations also assist in making Christmas on the Square a success: Chamber Ambassadors, Greater Talladega/Lincoln/Munford Area Chamber of Commerce, Historic Ritz Theatre, T.B. Turner Interior Design, Mu Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, 100 Men Support Group, Order of Eastern Star, SAFE/Family First, Talladega Bottling Works, J W International LLC, Talladega City Schools, Talladega Main Street and the United Way of North Talladega County.
