Christmas on
the Square

Christmas on the Square (COTS) is a rain or shine free three-day family friendly event held on the Square in downtown Talladega each year. This year, it will be held December 12-14, 2025.

Thousands come from Talladega and surrounding communities each year to participate in free activities, which will be held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Highlights of this annual event include Santa's Workshop, holiday train rides, shopping, Santa photos, holiday movies at the Ritz Theatre, ice skating, food trucks, a bug ride, live music, holiday decorations and more!  

Local, regional and out-of-state vendors participate each year.

• Free outdoor ice skating (Friday, Dec. 12 - 6pm - 9 pm; Sat., Dec. 13 – 10am - 6pm; Sun., Dec. 14– 12pm - 6pm). 
• Free Santa’s workshop with crafts for kids (Sat., Dec. 13 – 10am - 6pm; Sun., Dec. 14 – 12pm - 6pm)
• Free train rides (Sat., Dec. 13 – 10am - 6pm; Sun., Dec. 14 – 12pm - 6pm)
• Free buggy rides (Sat., Dec. 13– 10am - 6pm; Sun., Dec. 14 – 12pm - 6pm)
