
City of Talladega hosts first-ever career fair

(Talladega, AL) A recent Career Fair hosted by the City of Talladega gave local businesses an opportunity to connect with prospective employees, discuss job openings and benefits, and answer career-related questions.
“This was the City of Talladega's first career fair, and we are pleased to report a strong turnout and successful event. A total of 24 businesses participated, and approximately 100 attendees were present. For several of these businesses, this was their first time participating in a career fair, making the event even more meaningful,” said Human Resources Administrative Assistant Marissa Comeaux.
"We are excited about the Career Fair, and anticipate that it will be even bigger and better next year," she added. “The Human Resources Department is actively working on several new, engaging events for both our employees and the community. ”
"The Career Fair provided a valuable opportunity for employers to highlight their company culture and connect with prospective candidates, while also offering job seekers meaningful networking opportunities,” said City Manager Derrick Swanson. “This event contributed positively to our community by fostering professional connections and promoting local employers.”
Participants included First Bank of Alabama-Talladega Branch, Lineville Health and Rehab, Core Medical Training Center, AIDB, Employbridge, PNC Bank, Reemo Wireless, Alabama Department of Transportation, Elbit America, United States Marine Corps, Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative, Kharlis’ Klean&Klear Cleaning Solutions, Talladega Career Center, Onin Staffing, Dynasafe, SK Services, LLC., AlaTrust Credit Union, Talladega Clay Randolph Child Care Corporation, Cassi Medical Training Services, Isn’tThatRice, Central Alabama Community College (CCAC). Talladega City Schools, Talladega Housing Authority, Family Guidance Center, Creative Business Innovations, Talladega Police Department and Talladega Fire Department.
