CMP Gives Christmas on the Square Donation

(Talladega,AL) The City of Talladega received a $1,000 Christmas on the Square donation from CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park.

“I encourage community members to thank CMP and other Christmas on the Square sponsors!  The generosity of our donors helped fund the ice skating rink, Santa’s Workshop, holiday train, photos with Santa, and decorations that made Christmas on the Square 2022 such a special and memorable event,” said City Manager Seddrick Hill Sr. 

CMP’s Business Development Manager, Bruce D. Hancock, who presented the check to City Manager Seddrick Hill Sr, stated, “It is wonderful to see all the exciting events taking place in Talladega. The CMP has taken notice and wanted to be a sponsor for the Christmas on the Square. What a special way for the family to celebrate Christmas."

Christmas on the Square 2022 sponsors and contributors included First Bank of Alabama, Talladega Superspeedway, InSite Engineering, Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, The Daily Home, Talladega College, State of Alabama Tourism Department, Alabama Power, Greater Talladega and Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce, Talladega County Commission, CMP Marksmanship Park, Neel-Schaffer, Coosa Valley Electric, TOP Trails OHV Park, Mitchell Mowing, Ms. Evelyn A. McGehee, Armbrester Electric, LLC, Presbyterian Home for Children, Miss April’s Workshop, United Way of North Talladega County, 100 Men Support Group, Chamber Ambassadors, Talladega Bottling Works and others. 

In addition to many fun outdoor activities and Christmas movies at the Ritz, children and parents enjoyed Santa’s Workshop at Miss April’s Workshop.  Over 50 vendors and 10 food trucks participated in Christmas on the Square 2022 and over 1659 children participated in Santa's Workshop on Saturday.
