Coat drive to benefit Talladega residents
November 2, 2025
(Talladega, AL) The City of Talladega Winter Coat Drive, which is now underway, aims to keep residents warmer this winter by helping to secure coats for community members in need. You may help by donating a coat during the drive, which runs October 1 - November 30, 2025.
Please bring new or gently used unwrapped coats to City Hall, Talladega Public Library or the Spring Street Recreation Center.
"The weather changes rapidly and warm winter clothing can be expensive," said City Clerk Joanna Medlen. "Imagine how difficult it might be for children and teens without coats to get to school on cold mornings. Many adults also need help securing coats."
Interim City Manager Danny Warwick said, “Talladega's annual Winter Coat Drive is possible thanks to the generosity of residents who desire to assist families and individuals in need. We are fortunate to have a community that cares so deeply."
Clubs and other organizations who would like to participate in the drive may call 256-362-8186, extension 1020.
