Diaper Row picks up over 7000 diapers to distribute March 2, 2024

Diaper Row picks up over 7000 diapers to distribute March 2, 2024

(Talladega, AL) Councilman Hugh Sims and his wife, Lynn Sims, recently visited Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank in Birmingham, where they picked up over 7000 diapers to distribute to Talladega families.  The diapers will be given to families on Saturday, March 2, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., at Diaper Row in Bingham Hall at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 208 North Street E.

As a partner agency with Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank, Diaper Row helps collect and distribute diapers throughout the year. The ministry provides two free bundles of diapers and one package of wipes to each participating household every four weeks.

The name Diaper Row was inspired by Lynn Sims' memories of driving through Birmingham's Diaper Row area with her mother years ago.  From the name grew a mission that she and her fellow St. Peter's Episcopal Church members embraced wholeheartedly.

Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank and Diaper Row help protect the health and well-being of babies by ensuring that families have enough diapers. The Sims praised Bundles of Hope for its immeasurable contributions to families in our region. In addition, they applauded Talladega residents for their many generous contributions to Diaper Row and thanked students from Ascension Academy and Alabama School for Deaf for helping to unload the diapers from Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank.

Diaper Row is open on the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. - 11a.m.
