Mayor Hall inspires Talladega College seniors

(Talladega, AL) City of Talladega Mayor Ashton Hall delivered an uplifting and motivational message at Talladega College's Senior Brunch, which was recently held in the institution’s historic Savery Library.

"Growth happens when you push yourself beyond what you think is possible," Mayor Hall stated. "In the class of 2024, I have a lot of friends who I call family. I’ve been blessed to become a best friend, a fraternity brother, and a godfather. Those are just a few things I’ve been blessed by God to be during my time at Talladega College.”

Mayor Hall earned a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and Instruction from Talladega College in 2023.  He made history on September 19, 2023, when he became the city’s youngest-ever elected mayor at age 22. Shortly after taking office, he spearheaded and hosted the city’s first Mayoral Scholarship Ball, which raised scholarship funds for local students. In addition to serving as mayor, he teaches 3rd grade math at Stemley Road Elementary School.

"Success is not a destination, but a continuous journey. Don't let societal expectations or the opinions of others dictate your path. Follow your heart, trust your instincts, and stay authentic to who you are," he said to the graduating seniors.
