(Talladega, AL) A mystery celebrity and the CEO of Moolah Wireless are coming to the City of Talladega soon to give away free tablets.

Moolah Wireless is a part of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. 

“I am thrilled that, thanks to our partnership with Moolah Wireless, the city will improve lives by helping to distribute free tablets to hundreds of community members,” said City Manager Seddrick Hill Sr. “Having greater access to the internet will help students thrive academically; aid job seekers to finding employment; and give more citizens greater access to information and opportunities.”

If you or someone in your household is a recipient of Supplemental Security Income, Medicaid, Food Stamps/ Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicare, Veterans Pension or Survivors Pension, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Section 8, or Pell Grant, or if your family income is less than 40k under the Federal Poverty Guidelines, you are eligible for ACP free or discounted wireless service, a free tablet, or both.

On the date that the mystery celebrity and Moolah Wireless come to distribute tablets, only those who have been enrolled and certified will receive their tablets. Moolah Wireless enrollment specialists will be available to sign up new participants at the event. However, you must sign up in advance to receive your tablet on the distribution day.

Moolah Wireless is the first Black Owned ACP Provider with its own custom-developed device. Each 10-inch, Android 12 device comes with free monthly service. The Moolah Mobile device also comes with an optional advertising component that will allow tablet owners to earn additional rewards as they use the tablet to shop at their favorite stores.

Participants must fill out the Moolah Wireless application at https://moolahwireless.com/tablet-signup/?agentcode=TCOTA using their legal name and address used to sign up for government programs. Once submitted, applicants will be redirected to the Federal Government website to complete all required steps and submit the requested documents. After this step is completed, they will receive a Subscriber ID.  Applicants are only permitted to receive a FREE Tablet if they have never received a tablet or device from another ACP provider before.
