(Talladega, AL) The McGehee family is once again helping to bring joy to our community by contributing to Christmas on the Square. Talladega Insurance Agency owner Boyd McGehee and his mother, Evelyn McGehee, both made generous contributions to Christmas on the Square (COTS) 2023.  

“Talladega Insurance Agency has been enthusiastically involved in Christmas on the Square since it’s inception. Our square is the heart of Talladega itself and nothing shows off our community spirit and love of our hometown more than our downtown at Christmas time,” said Ms. McGehee. “The McGehee family and our wonderful staff at Talladega Insurance Agency wish everyone in town a very Merry Christmas! Come celebrate Christmas in Talladega on the square!”

“Talladega Insurance Agency has been serving our community for over 150 years. It is the third oldest insurance agency in the country and the oldest operating insurance agency in the state,” said City Manager Seddrick Hill Sr. “The City of Talladega is so appreciative of the McGehee family’s continued commitment to our community and support for Christmas on the Square.”  

“A Talladega Winter Wonderland” will be the theme of this year’s Christmas on the Square (COTS), which will be held December 8 - 10, 2023. The skating rink will open for the weekend outside the courthouse from 6 pm - 9 pm on Friday, December 8, and the Polar Express Movie and Best Pajama Contest will be held at the Historic Ritz Theatre at 6 pm on Friday, December 8. From 10 am - 6 pm, on Saturday, December 9, and noon - 6 pm on Sunday, December 10, there will be holiday craft activities for children, ice skating, food trucks, holiday train rides, Santa photos, vendors, a bounce house, free Christmas movies at the Historic Ritz Theatre and more.
