Talladega Main Street to host Halloween on the Square

(Talladega, AL) Talladega Main Street's Promotions Committee, in partnership with Talladega's Historic Ritz Theatre and Race City Ghostbusters, will present “Halloween on the Square,” October 31, 2023, beginning at 5:30 p.m. outside the Ritz Theatre.
Highlights of this free event will include A Spooktacular Performance by Shannon Darby’s Dancing Stars, Inc.; a Halloween storefront decoration contest; the Ghostbusters and their ectomobile; and a viewing of the movie Ghostbusters at 7 p.m. at the Ritz Theatre.
Volunteers will include student leaders from Talladega College. In addition, Laurel #108 Order Of Eastern Star, PHA, Alpine, AL. will distribute wrapped candy and treats.
“This promises to be an evening filled with family-friendly fun and excitement right in the heart of our beloved Talladega,” said Talladega Main Street Board of Directors Secretary Megan Carpenter, who co-chairs the promotions committee. “We are inviting local businesses and organizations to join us in making this event memorable by setting up a trick-or-treat booth; sponsoring a specific activity; or simply contributing to the festive atmosphere by decorating a storefront. Together we can make this event a resounding success and create lasting memories for our residents.”
TMS Promotions Committee Chair Mary Sood added, “In addition to having the satisfaction of helping to provide youth in our community with a fun, safe and memorable event, participating businesses and organizations will be highlighted on our promotional materials and recognized for their commitment to the community.”
