Talladega Warming Station opens this weekend

(Talladega, AL) Due to an anticipated drop in temperatures beginning this weekend, the City of Talladega Warming Station at the Spring Street Recreation Center will be open Saturday, January 13, 2024, through Wednesday, January 17, 2024, beginning at 5 p.m. each evening. To ensure that the center is well-staffed to meet the community’s needs, individuals and families are asked to arrive by 9 p.m. Anyone arriving after 9 p.m. must call the Talladega Police Department or the Talladega Fire Department prior to arriving.
The Talladega Warming Station will open when the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts temperatures to be 32 degrees or below.
