(Talladega, AL) An exciting new upscale dining experience is coming to Talladega. The Taste Supper Club, a partnership of Chef LaToya Wilson, founder of Sherry’s restaurant on the Square; Talladega Main Street (TMS); the Historic Ritz Theatre; and Mr. Jim Whitson, will launch on Friday, Dec 1, 2023.

The multi-course, immersive dinner will bring the community together in a fun and exciting environment, allow guests to dine outside of their comfort zones, and give everyone an opportunity to break bread with friends and meet new people around the dinner table.

“I can’t put into words how excited I am to launch The Taste Supper Club in Talladega. The experience will transport guests on a journey of their senses, without having to physically travel to other places. And while the intent of the dinner is to provide an elevated dining experience, the overall theme is community,” said Wilson.

Talladega Main Street Executive Director Cathy Roehrig is equally thrilled about the partnership. "TMS is delighted to both showcase and partner with Sherry's in presenting The Taste Supper Club," said Roehrig. "TMS is just as excited to partner with Lauren Deal, director of the Ritz Theater, as we will provide a feature film for guests during some of the supper club events. A wine and beverage bar will be available for those attending as well."

City Manager Seddrick Hill Sr. said, "I remember the day LaToya first discussed her plans for Sherry’s with me. She had a great concept, so it is no surprise that Sherry’s has become one of Talladega’s favorite restaurants."

"Given our community’s desire for upscale dining options and LaToya’s talent, I know that The Taste Supper Club will be a tremendous success," he added.

Each event will seat no more than 40 guests and menus will rotate monthly. Future dates will include January 6th and February 24th.

The Taste Supper Club is one of several innovative TMS partnerships that bring attention and visibility to the Talladega Main Street District.
