Water Department Update 9

Water Department Update 9

ADEM has reviewed our results, and the boil water alert has been lifted.  The City of Talladega would like to thank staff, volunteers and others who helped during this challenging time.

We offer our most sincere thanks to employees who worked overtime and/or sacrificed their vacation time to distribute water at several locations; work at the warming station; and deliver water to shut-ins, disabled individuals, sick residents and livestock.  We are also thankful for the Chamber Ambassadors and their leaders for helping to distribute water; to Talladega Superspeedway for supplying propane and heaters for staff and volunteers; to James Nash of Combined Construction Services, Inc. for providing propane tanks and an enclosed trailer for the heaters; to InSite Engineering, LLC and Emergency Management Agency (EMA) for invaluable support and expert guidance; to the City of Lincoln for assisting with our water supply; to Eleven86 Water for a speedy response; and to Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church and Mount Canaan Baptist Church for offering to assist families in need.
