Thank you for allowing us to continue providing your family with clean, quality water this year. In order to maintain a safe and dependable water supply we sometimes need to make improvements that will benefit all of our customers. These improvements are sometimes reflected as rate structure adjustments. Thank you for understanding.

We at the Talladega Water & Sewer Department work
around the clock to provide top quality water to every tap.
We ask that all our customers help us protect our water
sources, which are the heart of our community,
our way of life and our children’s future.

Talladega’s Wastewater Treatment Division currently operates 3 wastewater treatment facilities located in various parts of the city and county. The main activities are to provide health protection for the Talladega area by providing primary and secondary wastewater treatment for the City of Talladega residents. Annually 1.2 billion gallons is treated for a daily average of 3.485 million gallons (MGD) by physical, chemical and biological treatment methods. The treated discharge water is disinfected with chlorine then de-chlorinated and discharged into each respective receiving stream. The wastewater treatment facilities continue to emphasize ongoing plant preventative maintenance to achieve minimum operation and maintenance costs while insuring proper operation and environmental compliance.

We want our valued customers to be informed about their water department. If you want to learn more, please attend any of the regularly scheduled city council meetings.

They are held on the first and third Mondays of every month at 5:00pm at the Talladega City Hall, 203 West South Street, Talladega, Alabama.
